This position is located in the Water Quality Division, Planning and Permitting Branch, Natural Resources Administration, District Department of Energy and Environment. The incumbent will serve as an Environmental Protection Specialist and provide assistance to meet the Division's overall regulatory compliance and water quality management planning mission. The incumbent will work with an interdisciplinary scientific team and will coordinate and implement data management efforts related to the District of Columbia's natural resources to include the area of stormwater management, water quality, fisheries and wildlife, and watershed protection. The incumbent will be responsible for developing a mechanism to integrate readily available and existing information from various part of all monitoring data related procedures. Duties will include 1) coordinating DOEE efforts to develop and implement consistent and integrated data management systems, 2) working with an interdisciplinary team to conduct environmental field investigations, 3) performing statistical analyses, including trend analyses, and 4) developing environmental data collection methodologies. The incumbent will represent the Water Quality Division on regional and local environmental technical committees.
