UMCES Ph.D. Presidential Fellowships
The University of Maryland Center for Environmental Science is pleased to announce up to three graduate fellowships to support incoming Ph.D. students starting fall semester, 2017. The Presidential Fellowships are merit-based and designed to support recruitment of outstanding students into the UMCES graduate programs. The University of Maryland Center for Environmental Science (UMCES) is a globally eminent research and education institution informing how we protect our environment and sustain our natural resources. Scientists conduct research at four laboratories: the Appalachian Laboratory in the mountains of western Maryland, the Chesapeake Biological Laboratory on the western shore of Chesapeake Bay, the Horn Point Laboratory on the Eastern Shore, and the Institute of Marine and Environmental Technology in Baltimore.
UMCES faculty members advise and support more than 85 graduate students annually through two collaborative graduate education programs: Marine Estuarine Environmental Sciences and the Graduate Program in Life Sciences.
